The venue is highly recommended for weddings and events, with many guests appreciating the quality of the food and the professionalism of the event coordinators. Seriously, if you're planning a wedding and thinking of Southwood you are 100% on point. This venue is absolutely GORGEOUS, especially with the St. Norbert Ruins near by. You are going to have an incredible time. The staff is all very friendly and the food served at the reception was delicious. We can't wait to photograph another wedding here because of how beautiful it is here.

This course has lots of open areas, nit many trees and much cooler than mist golf courses. There are lots of sand traps and challenging holes. There is lots of walking between holes. The rough has fescue that can swallow up your ball if it's hit there. Very plush fairways and quick greens. The club house is very nice with great food.

Went for a private event. Finger food was excellent and the staff were attentive cleaning up the plates and refilling the platters. Great first impression of the facility.

Attended a wedding yesterday and yes the venue is gorgeous and I must say the food was the best I’ve ever had in a long time! The only negative thing about the cocktails/meal was dirty/unused dishes and glasses, empty bread baskets were not cleared quick enough or at all. Made for cramped table space. However it is not disability-friendly, I walk with a cane and there are a lot of stairs and wedding site very far in the back. There should be a ramp and once you get to the lower level there’s no reason why a golf cart cannot be available to take someone to the ceremony site if they can’t walk…

I'm a member at Southwood, so have to admit to some bias, but it's a great place to be - awesome staff, wonderful club facilities and an amazing course that offers something for all golfers. And the condition of the course just keeps getting better every year! You've got to try it! (Updated with an additional photo that I took. Also should note that I was not asked to post this review.)

Coordinated a wedding here last month. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Beautiful venue for a wedding or special event, with a large patio outside, beautiful green space for wedding ceremony, and bright and lovely reception space.

If you’re planning a wedding, this is the venue for you. I found out about Southwood Golf club 3 weeks before my wedding. I called over 10 golf clubs in the city. And the only call back I got was from Brett, the food and beverage Manager. This guy was such a blessing. Communication with him was such a breeze. But what I loved the most about my experience dealing with Brett is how professional he was. As you know, bride to be tend to want everything to be perfect on their wedding day and I wasn't any different. He was so patient and his demeanour never changed. On the wedding day, Brett and th…

This is a five star course with probably the nicest practice facility in the province. Having said that it is not a favorite to play as it is always windy and the fescue grass makes balls that are even six inches wide of the fairway unfindable. This just adds unecessary frustration for amateur players.Trees in this windy province provide so much shelter and this course has none. The course maintenance is excellent. Our group had a meal after the round and found the food to be just ok. Here is a pic of the group in front of us on the course. They were constantly frustrated that they couldn't fi…

If you want a gorgeous venue to host a small budget-friendly wedding, I strongly recommend Southwood. I am very happy with Haley, the current event coordinator. She was easy to work with and helped make our day run smoothly. Our wedding was in May and the weather ended up being 1 degree outside...so although I would have loved to keep the ceremony outside with their beautiful tree line like we had planned, we decided to move our ceremony into the reception area the morning of. I was completely expecting to be charged for all of the ceremony space outside, despite not actually using the area; h…
