In summary

Tenison Park offers two courses, the Highlands and the Glen, with players appreciating the challenging layout and affordability, especially the Glen course. The staff is generally praised for their friendliness, and the courses are noted for their accessibility as public golf options in Dallas. However, some visitors have raised concerns about course conditions, including patchy greens and maintenance issues, as well as occasional management and operational challenges, such as slow pace of play and issues with equipment. The setting is noted to be in a less desirable part of town, which some find off-putting.

Nice cheap course. We played the front 9 of the Glen and the greens were definitely patchy, but it was a fairly forgiving course. Looking forward to playing the Highlands next time.

Came here on a Thursday afternoon around 2:00 and what a course! Absolutely loved it. Lots of hills on the back half but a a welcomed challenge. Will definitely come back here, everyone was extremely nice as well. Thanks for having us!

The Glenn was a decent course I guess. Whoever programmed the gps in my golf cart needs to be reviewed because I get that it’s car path only….but my cart stopped ON THE CART PATH cause it thought I was out of bounds so I’m here looking like a dummy driving in reveres down the cart path of the golf course. The employees did warn me that it was narrow and difficult, however I wish they had warned me that 9th hole doesn’t end at the clubhouse. Playing 18 holes nonstop is exhausting without that 30min break and that is a huge dealbreaker for me. I had a good time but I won’t be coming back. Never…

Friendly staff, great greens and layout, it’s beautiful here. We have only been here once as it’s been on our list of courses we haven’t yet tried, but will definitely be back to play again!

I hate to leave a review like this, but I feel compelled in this situation. I have played hundreds of rounds of golf over 10 years or so of playing and have played this course numerous times before, typically enjoying the layout and cost of this Dallas Muni. I played the Highlands course earlier this week and ended up in a green side bunker. When trying to play my shot, there was about half an inch of sand under my ball, and below that unbeknownst to me, concrete. I skulled the shot over the green, and for my troubles, got a significant chunk of metal taken out of the bounce of my wedge. Up…

The Glen course was in terrible condition yesterday with clumps of grass all throughout the fairways. This was our first time playing the course and was dissapointing. There were homeless men hanging out at the only water fountain on the course and had some city workers tell me that it is common and normal. 3/4 through the round had the pleasure of seeing an older gentleman just taking a leak in the middle of the fairway. If ya gotta go, ya gotta go….. but find a tree.

Senior, 1st time playing Tenison Glen Played Championship tees (6607/71.9/122) Good test & great value ($32 midweek) Course was impacted by heavy rain the day b4 I played which had the course playing longer than advertised. Undulating Bermuda greens are tough, consistent & different from other courses Carts were in great shape; welcoming staff; good/ low cost range Lots of water; long par 3s; tree lined fairways; interesting dog legs. #dallas #publicgolf has another gem

I got up to the first tee at 12:23 for my 12:30 tee time and the marshal pushed us back to 12:30. We were up on the tee box for 10+ minutes waiting for the group ahead of us (that we were supposed to be in) to get to the green so we could hit. After we teed off, we got back to the cart and went to look for my ball in the adjacent hole's fairway. Right as we took off in the cart, my bag flew off and all of my clubs fell out. I'm pretty sure the marshal unstrapped my bag when we were on the tee box after he pushed us back to the next group. I had seven mike's hard lemonades and called my dad to…

Played in a tournament here this Memorial Day weekend. Two day stroke play event. Tournament was poorly managed. Entry fee didn’t even include the cart fee. First day the round took 5:20 to complete. Called the club house to see about speeding up play. They never sent anyone out and said they would. Day two I withdrew after 2:40 to play 9 holes. No one keeping pace of play. Wont be back to play another tournament here. Now for the course: Tee boxes were average at best. Fairways and bunkers were good. The greens were horrible. Bumpy shag carpet day one. Rolled a little better day two after a…

Two stars because the Highlands course is decent and really the only playable public course in the city of Dallas. It being the only decent course leads to the next point that if you're trying to play here as a single - don't bother. They'll force you onto a walk up list and refuse to allow you to book a tee time. Show up and chip & putt and pray they'll let you play a mid public course.

I’ve been playing at this course for a long time, more than 50 rounds and overall, the staff has been great. People like John and the rest of the team are friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, there is one staff member who consistently ruins the experience. The younger, scrawny guy with the unkempt mustache who works the shop and checks people in is always rude, unhelpful, and quick to raise his voice. He acts like he’s working at Augusta instead of here. I’ve never once seen him be welcoming. It’s not just with customers, I’ve also seen him being disrespectful to the cart staf…

Played highlands for the first time today. Cart path only and haven’t had rain since Saturday night. Layout is really fun but course had some really rough spots. Tee boxes were chewed up pretty bad. Greens weren’t very true either. Worth it at the twilight rate but that’s it.
