In summary

Waikele Country Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, picturesque setting, and friendly staff, making it a standout among public courses on Oahu. The course layout offers a mix of challenges suitable for various skill levels, and the clubhouse features a popular restaurant with a diverse menu. Some visitors note the policy against single players and occasional dryness in certain dishes, but overall, the club provides a satisfying experience for both golfers and diners.

We’ve always enjoyed coming here for lunch even though neither of us play golf anymore. The relaxing ambiance, view of the green fairways, old time feel of the clubhouse/restaurant, great selection of Asian dishes and friendly service are offered here. We had lunch here the day after Christmas. The food is always good here and today we tried its steamed Opakapaka and ono sandwich. The steamed fish was tasty, just a tad dry on certain parts, and the ono sandwich was also tasty and also bit on the dry side. Last time I had the deep fried butterfish bones, and that was excellent.

Fantastic course! The greens and fairways are in excellent shape—clearly very well maintained. The back 9 has more hills and elevation changes, which adds a fun challenge and keeps the round interesting. What really sets this place apart is the landscaping. The variety of plants and natural beauty throughout the course makes it feel like you’re golfing in a garden. Highly recommend!

Very nice golf course. Doesn't seem that difficult and I don't lose many balls, but my score always sucks here. 😂 Greens appear fast but seem slow even on the downhill puts. Carts are nice with GPS and coolers and ice in them.

Hands down best public course I've played on Oahu. Course is very well maintained and challenging but playable for a mid handicap player like myself. Staff is very attentive and helpful. Great pro shop, driving range, putting greens, on course food cart and huge on-site restaurant. Cost is comparable to many other 18 hole public courses on Oahu, maybe $5 to $10 more, but we'll worth it.

Nice course, great staff, and a great all-around golf club. I would put this course on the upper level as far as public courses on Oahu. As you pay a little more for green fees, you get a lot in return. Greens run true and are in very good shape. Fairways are nicely manicured. Tee boxes are well taken care of. The course is a challenge for all levels. Carts are nice with GPS and video of each hole that is a very nice touch. 4 star rating all around on this one.

The Waikele Golf Course in Waipahu is picturesque and challenging, with wide fairways and many water hazards. The onsite restaurant offers a mix of Japanese, Korean, and American dishes for breakfast and lunch, popular among both locals and tourists. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch there after a round of golf.

If you're a single player, don't even bother going. They won't let you play as a single and can only get on if there happens to be group that has a spot. I guess you could try calling since you can't book online. I should have called, but took a chance since I wanted to get in some practice time. This policy should be communicated explicitly on the website!

Great place to eat at. Enjoyed the Waikele Chicken ($14.50), and my husband got the Sizzling spicy pork ($15.50), also two drinks (water and diet Pepsi (3.50)). Credit card payment accepted as indicated by the signs. I don't know if cash is an option? There was outside and inside sitting, shade available. Food was great, chicken was juicy with 2 scoops of rice and Mac salad. Spicy pork was good, one bowl cup of rice with i am guessing cabbage. There is also a bar. Would I go again? Maybe. There is also a bathroom available, and a gift shop.

Very pretty & peaceful setting for the restaurant. Copious portions of food. (The breakfast omelettes were massive.) Really good coffee, including the decaf.

Played there on March 29th with my daughter, the course was in excellent condition, greens were fast and in great shape. The staff was tremendously gracious and friendly. Highly recommend this place and will definitely play this one whenever I am back on the island
