West Loch is a municipal golf course. It's alright for the price. The front nine is not flat. Expect to go up some hills, but still walkable. The tee boxes are alright, nothing great about them. There is grass, but in some areas, the grass is sparse and sandy. There are a few interesting holes were you are on an elevated tee box, makes a fun time to see how far you can hit. The fairways could use some work. There are a lot of areas with dirt patches and no grass throughout the course. The ball rolls out a little further, but if it stops on the dirt patches, watch out for the rocks. Other are…

This is one of my favorite local Muni courses. The play pace may be a little slow depending on who you have in front of you but the scenery is nice and it’s worth the wait. Everyone who works there is extra nice and other golfers are generally all pretty chill.

Poorly managed. Played twice and we were unable to finish due to EXTREMELY SLOW play. 6 hrs both times unable to finish 18 holes . Start times are 6 minutes apart. PGA norm is 9 minutes. Singles and doubles not paired up.

There is no starter no food no pro shop. Everything from the tea boxes fairways and greens are poorly maintained. Things are either dry and dusty or over watered and swampy. It smells like a swamp. Everything is broken and very neglected. If you are a visitor to Hawaii, do not play this course. It is for locals to go chop around at the golf ball in groups of six.

Dope muni to play at. The price for residents is just right and the course has active improvements being made, but non that interfered with play. They advertised a driving range, but I never saw any evidence of one. It had a squirrelly layout but it was easy enough to follow. I would recommend trying to play during the week, as it didn't seem like there was a Marshall or staggering of tee times. We didn't have any pace of play issues but I could see it being an issue on the weekends. Thanks guys!

I’m not sure what the issue was today (19 July) but we were waiting more than what we were playing. We were stacking at least 3 different groups at a time waiting to tee. It seemed like they were just trying to get as many people as they can on the course without waiting managing time appropriately. The greens were subpar at best especially when they were charging $350 for 4 people. 10/10 would not recommend, especially if you are paying non-resident rate.

2 hours to play the first 2 holes. No starter, terribly slow play. Greens all sandy. Many fairways are rock hard. Paid for 18 but barely finished 9

Almost all of the municipal golf courses are now in varying degrees of disrepair because of the lack of watering. But as far as Westloch, I would rank it as one of the better Municipal courses on Oahu. Ted Makalena Golf Course would definitely be the best– conditions wise.

Beautiful course, very nice layout, when it's windy it's tough

I walk my dog at this don't course. My lil doggie loves it. We ride down the bike trail and get in through a hole in the fence

It's always fun to play here. Kona winds today made the easier holes harder. Only competition is that Ted Makalena's greens are cut better.

This marginally maintained course has its merit in settings against mountain view and wild flowers.
