In summary

Royal Kunia Country Club is praised for its scenic views, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a favored choice among golfers on Oahu. The course offers a mix of hills, bunkers, and water hazards, and is generally well-maintained, though some areas could benefit from additional care. However, visitors frequently mention issues with slow pace of play and outdated facilities, including golf carts and clubhouse amenities.

Cool views and a challenging course. Lots of water and sand traps. Really cool set up, one of my favorite courses on island

Great day... overcast but no rain, course was pretty dry. Restaurant has great food choices, had the Shrimp Curry, brown rice and Mac salad. It was awesome 👍. Friendly and quick service.

Played recently. Golf carts are ancient, but functional. Has great views and it could be great with some extra maintenance and tlc. Greens were super slow, but I got used to them eventually. Clubhouse is a bunch of prefabs.

Nice golf course that is built on the side of a hill, so most holes will be up or downhill. The good: Most of the tee boxes are nice and grassy, and a few are not. The fairways are pretty full of grass, and the rough can get a little thick. Some of the fairway bunkers are nice with some sand in them. Most of the greens are nice and roll smoothly. The green side bunkers have sand and are not really packed down. The bad: Some of the tee boxes have more sand than grass. Some spots on the fairways can get a little muddy in areas where water/rain collects. Mostly in the depressions around the…

Friend made an early reservation here. Not the first time I’ve played here but first review… Easy to find course, plenty of parking. Nice workers all around. Course in great shape. Fun. Awesome restaurant with great food and a super nice and pretty lady. I’m not a regular here, but these guys treated me like I was one. Wouldn’t hesitate to play or eat here at anytime.

It’s a not bad golf course. Back nine is short so if you hit a good tee shot, you’ll be hitting a lob wedge or so. Greens are ok. I didn’t know they had a range to warm up.

This is a good little track, but it is good at best for the cost and the distance. It is just good a hair above good at best. Let me begin by saying that the greens, tee boxes and fairways are very well taken care of. The exceptional issue of this course is, it is not manicured, it is not attention oriented in terms of detail. The area around the course is really a nice space but this course lacks so much of what good golf courses have. It should be well-maintained. This one is not! The pace of play is horrendous!! They need a Marshall on this course going from whole won the whole single trip.…

The course is beautiful and well maintained, but it took us 3 hours to play 9 holes because they pushed to many people out back to back. There were constantly 2-3 groups sitting waiting at each hole. On the first par three it got so backed up there were 5 groups sitting waiting. The Marshall came around once in the beginning but was not keeping players on pace of play. Very disappointing when you pay a decent amount and they won’t let you only play 9 holes before 3pm.

Very nice course, I love the layout. From the tee boxes to the fairways, they are both in great shape. Beautiful views of honolulu from Pearl Harbor all the way to Diamond head. I would definitely put this on the musty play list here on Oahu.

Royal Kunia is a pleasant golf course with lovely, well-mannered fairways. The women's tee boxes are positioned for an easier par, set apart from the white tees. I would have rated it 4 stars, but for the clubhouse and amenities need improvement. The clubhouse resembles a shack, the golf carts are gas-powered, dirty, and broken. The practice range has worn and curling mats, the bathrooms are subpar, and the bunkers are filled with red rock dirt. Although the game was enjoyable, upgrading the facilities and switching to new electric carts would enhance the experience.

I'm new to the game one that that always makes me stressed is playing close to houses. This place is very forgiving in that sense. It's a whole other thing when it comes to a course challenge with nice long par 4s and a good mix of par 3s that just put your irons to the test. Highly recommend it for the play and and the view.

The course itself is nice. Good layout. The pace of play is awful. Tee time was at 1:37 and we only finished 14 holes. Waited at every hole with 2 people waiting ahead of us.
