What People Say

In summary

Battlefield Golf Club at Centerville is appreciated for its challenging links-style layout, affordable green fees, and generally well-maintained course conditions. Visitors often commend the friendly staff, although some have reported negative experiences with rushed play and staff interactions. The lack of a clubhouse and food services is noted, and there are occasional concerns about course navigation and cart conditions.

Friendly staff and the course was in great condition all winter long. Best Bangalore for your buck in the area outside of military courses if you have access. Brand new carts also make the experience better. Sometimes the jets are loud in the evening, but I just pretend it's a crowd screaming my name.

I took my wife here for her first golf outing. It is her birthday so she wanted to get into golf. We arrived later than normal for our 10AM tee time (and by late I mean we were on the box at 10 instead of early). The starter decided off the rip to be a dick because they started the person they paired us early. We started the hole and, with my wife being new, it took a couple hits to get midway up the fairway. At that time we were approached again by the starter to hurry up and told us to pick up the ball and move on. I've played in courses across the world and never had such a rude start. I un…

Fairways were adequate, greens were best up and poana or crab grass is taking root. Still waiting for a clubhouse/restaurant type building. Staff is always friendly though and make the experience worthwhile in playing there.

Really liked the links style layout of the course. Challenging course but not to hard to play. Need a clubhouse and some food, but other than that a great course to play. We plan to play there again soon.

Make the 4 hour drive to play here with a good friend and enjoy the course but the owner need to invest in new golf carts, It is really a shame to play a nice course and ride in "junk" carts!

The course itself is solid. The grass is good quality, very picturesque, and a good amount of water. The staff, however, absolutely ruined the experience. Of all the times I've golfed, I've never had the staff rush my group along like this. This time, we were at the driving range at 7:02 AM for a 7:12 tee time and they came driving up, yelling our group's name, and saying we're late and need to get to the first tee. On the second shot of the first hole, AT 7:12 AM, OUR TEE TIME, the staff member drives up and says we need to hurry up or do a scramble (which we were literally doing) because we…

Course is always in nice shape for the cost. Greens are a little bumpy but are healthy. Only complaint is the carts always seem to be on their last leg.

As a local business owner (one who this place has even tried to sell ad space to) I am against leaving bad reviews for business, but hopefully this can help someone else avoid a bad experience. Without going into a long rant with details of my most recent experience I will just say unless you are a very very very regular here or are part of their little inner circle just avoid this place. I've tried three times and each time the staff and experience gets worse and worse. There are several other courses within a short drive pick one of those.

Great fun and enjoyable course. Affordable green fees and good customer service at the pro shop. Greens were running true and the holes with water were great. No club house, food service or restaurant and rest rooms are Porta-potties. I had an excellent Sunday there! Thanks Battlefield!

First time here today. Great course. Layout get kinda confusing, Got lost a few times, had to check the pictures to figure out which fairway I was supposed to be shooting for, had to use Google Maps to find my way back to the cart path, etc. Near 9th hole is where it gets a bit crowded, gotta be accurate. Great Par 3's, challenging course but fun as all heck. Make sure you look where you're hitting, lots of stuff you can't see right away that'll make you lose your balls. If you find the 8 I lost today, I'd like them back...

Great place to enjoy a round. Fun but challenging layout friendly staff and great conditions. One of the best local courses fair greens fees. Thanks to the ownership and management for running such an amazing place for golfers.

They created a $15 “rider fee” which you have to pay no matter what. Understandable if you have to get another cart, however I was playing by myself and my girlfriend was just tagging along. I had one cart, and had to pay 15 extra bucks just so she could ride in the cart with me. Never heard of this policy at any course in my life. Also, the staff is extremely rude and not accommodating whatsoever. After you pay for your round they could care less what you have to say.
