In summary

Boyne Mountain Resort is praised for its diverse ski terrain, accommodating staff, and a wide range of amenities, including excellent ski and snowboard instruction, a relaxing spa, and quality dining options. While many guests appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere and affordability, some have noted issues with room security, the availability of wheelchairs, and the cost of on-site purchases. Additionally, the resort can become crowded during peak times, and some guests have experienced inconvenience with lift ticket purchases and locker fees.

If you are looking for a ski or snowboard instructor who truly "gets" kids, go see Ronnie Yoder at Boyne Mountain Resorts. We recently put our 9-year-old son in a lesson with him, and the transformation was incredible. Ronnie was incredibly informative and pinpointed exactly what our son needed to work on for a successful run. As parents, we decided to step back and let Ronnie do his thing—and it was the best decision we made. Ronnie made him feel completely comfortable right away. By the end of the lesson, the boost in our son’s confidence was undeniable! His enthusiasm was through the roof,…

Wonderful experience. Ski+ snowboard instructors excellent. All staff were friendly, helpful, +inviting. Lots of fun things to do. We never left the resort for 5 days. Food+ drinks were good of the 3 we tried (Trophy Room, 40 Acres Tavern, Everett's). Only missed out on Skybridge due to weather. One complaint: the door between our room+ the neighbor didn't lock. They had no knob on their side, but we had access to their room w/ a knob. We put our suitcase w/ stand in front of the door on our side; not sure if they had any idea re: the possibility of security compromise. That's why I gave it a…

A group of us traveled from Detroit to partake in some winter activities... Immediately when we arrived to this resort , we had a blast! 💣💥Everyone was so helpful. 💯Megan and Wyatt was personally assisting us as some of us hit the slopes.❤️‍🔥 The vibes were great, and the food was delicious. Very family friendly and affordable.

I want to start off by giving my sincere thanks to Boyne Mountain for hosting my wife and me. I had visited once before, and I’ll admit I was a little hesitant about whether my wife would enjoy it as much as I did. After convincing her to come along, we were both blown away by the experience. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with incredible kindness and hospitality. The entire staff was accommodating, friendly, and truly made us feel welcomed—shout out Dan, our host who helped transport us and our luggage to the Chalet. One of our absolute favorite parts of the trip was getting a…

This is a fantastic Michigan ski hill for a weekend out on the slopes. It's large enough to have terrain and runs for everyone, but small enough that you can bring a whole crew with you and split up all over the hill and still find each other. Vertical drop is about 500', which is about double the southern Michigan hill drops. The blacks and blues here are also more challenging than the other hills in Michigan (but still not too bad). Some of the green runs are LONG and not very steep. Don't do them on a snowboard - you will be walking. We took Hilda's Hideaway and got stuck a few times. Th…

Phenomenal stay during groundhog day weekend! We spent two nights in edelweiss which felt like a private European ski chalett. Amazing staff, rooms are beautiful and very affordable! Can’t wait to stay here again!

Very large ski area, with something for everyone. Big terrain, moguls, kids area, glades, and nice runs. Also some fun stuff like Skybridge and Iglu bar when we came. I can see how this places gets cramped during the busy season, some things are not laid out as nicely in the resort. But the skiing is top class in Michigan

The resort itself is great. Great skiing great rooms good people. What I am complaining about is kind of dumb but was a big part of my vacation. What the heck happened to the trout pond? I used to bring my kids here every trip and we would wake up early before skiing. It was the main reason we stayed right at the resort instead of somewhere nearby. The trout fishing has plummeted. Fish are few and far between and very small. Will now be staying simply at a nearby area.

Surprised to find one of the ski slopes were still open at Memorial Day. Pool is kept very warm. Beach House restaurant has a great view of Deer Lake. They should as more electric chargers.

We had a really great time over the weekend at this resort. The staff was incredible and took care of us for our 16th Wedding Anniversary. The resort is really clean and affordable, with plenty of things to keep busy. The spa staff was amazing and the food was really good at the different restaurants. We will definitely return for the ski season and for golf season.

Good Michigan hill with solid runs and lifts. Nice views at the top. Some good ski in and out options. Fun tubing hill and big water park for kids. Absolutely horrendous cafeteria and lift ticket sales customer service. Buy your lift tix online and eat elsewhere and you’ll be ok.

It got a lot more expensive for everything than it was last year. I'm handicapped(I have a TBI)so I can't walk real far and they don't offer wheel chairs, well they do but they only have 3 wheelchairs on the property. Once they are gone they are gone. I only saw 1 being used the whole time and they had no idea where the other 2 were. You have to be quick about getting one because you can't have 1 held for you. Luckily the evening before I was coming home I found 1 just sitting up by the skybridge. That's a huge place that everyone should be able to enjoy and with all the walking I did the firs…
