In summary

Densons Creek Golf Course is frequently praised for its challenging and scenic layout, featuring significant elevation changes and well-maintained bentgrass greens. The staff is noted for their friendliness and the course offers good value, with amenities such as a driving range, practice greens, and an onsite restaurant. However, some visitors mention issues with drainage and maintenance, particularly in the bunkers and cart paths, which could be improved to enhance the overall experience.

First time playing here and loved it even though the camouflaged greens had any birdies from me. Onto the review. Tee Boxes 4/5 - No real noticeable issues even on par 3s, there was enough space where it wasn't all dug out. Fairways 4/5 - There were some wet spots, but no muddy areas. The slope made shot selection important since shaping worked against you. Greens 4/5 - The greens are decent, they have a camouflage color to them but roll smooth at a 10/11, and god help you if you leave your shots uphill from the hole. Layout 5/5 - The hills were utilized to the maximum here with almost eve…

Fun layout, lots of ups and downs while playing on a hillside. Bentgrass greens were in fantastic shape in January and for <$25 with cart this place is a great value. Pro shop was friendly, good vibes all around

Excellent track, with pretty good value. It's layout over conditions, but the greens are healthy, the turf is solid, and the bunkers, while excellently placed, need some work. It's off the beaten path, they have a public access pool across from the pro shop, which is attached to an excellent Mexican bar and grill, with very good margaritas and pollo con chorizo. It's got really good bones, it reminds me of Ross courses I've enjoyed, and it would be a 70$ layout in Charlotte or Greensboro

Wow what a find! Located in Troy, NC just outside the Uwharrie park this course is a challenge. You must be able to work the ball off the tee or you will be hitting from the pines. Reminds me of other sandhill courses that cost so much more. Has a pool onsite that for a small fee you can plan a day for the whole family. The Mexican style restaurant/bar onsite is delicious, friendly and a value. Can't wait to go back.

Played this course as it was near my friend who lives in Pinehurst. Talked to the owner and club pro who were super nice and welcoming. Course was in great shape and fun to play. Don’t take down the trees! It was a great layout with lots of elevation changes and challenging greens. Couldn’t beat the price!

Had the opportunity to play this course while visiting my in laws. This is a gem and magnificent course. The layout is spectacular with wonderful fairways and great greens. There is plenty of elevation of the tee boxes and greens on the holes that makes this course challenging and exciting at the same time. I was able to get out with no problem. The staff was extremely kind and I was able to complete my round in 3hrs and 30minutes. I definitely recommend and would love to play this course again.

I am impressed with the NEW Management at Densons Creek Golf Course. I had the opportunity to spend a little over an hour with the management where they laid out there business plan and how they are increasing loyalty within the golf community. For those golfer’s who gave up or never visited the course, please do yourself and partners and play a round . - p.s. - divot tools are free!

We had a good time there today, the course was in pretty decent shape. Would have been a 5/5 star course if the fairways were in better shape but still left 5 stars. If you're every around this part of town, stop in and play 18!

This is a nice layout, beautiful area, rolling hills and such and the greens were really nice...the 3 stars are for the holes that have power lines running directly across the fairways and the AWFUL, terrible cart paths. Seriously those wouldn't be that hard to fix... So many broken spots, I think it busted my spleen.

I recently had the pleasure of playing Densons Creek Golf Course and was thoroughly impressed. Even in December, the course was in fantastic condition. The bent grass greens rolled true and maintained a vibrant green color, defying the typical winter look. The course itself presents a delightful challenge with a good mix of risk and reward. Water hazards come into play on several holes, and the two par 3s exceeding 180 yards demand accurate long irons. The hilly terrain and numerous doglegs add another layer of strategy. I particularly enjoyed the challenge of navigating the doglegs and the…

I've been a golf pro for over 20 years and this is a sneaky good golf course. Hilly, lots of movement, but really well done. Really nice layout, a lot of demanding tee shots. And bent grass greens and they are pure! Total craziness going on out here. Plenty of drama from the tips, I highly recommend, especially for $35. Just played today, greens were wet and fairways cut really high but 101 heat index so I understand. Gonna come back when it's cooler.
