What People Say

In summary

The Tillery Tradition Country Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly, professional staff. Many visitors appreciate the beautiful setting and commend the improvements made under new management. However, some reviews mention inconsistent greens and issues with sand traps, though these are often attributed to weather conditions. The dining experience receives mixed feedback, with recent improvements noted but some past experiences highlighting service and food quality concerns.

Awesome course, toughest greens I've played on. Phenomenal shape all around for Nov. 11 and 44 degrees for the high. Will definitely be back under warmer conditions lol

They are in the midst of killing the old greens. Great layout, good price but the greens are not remotely close to good right now. I will have to come back once the greens recover to do a full review.

New ownership has brought huge changes to TTCC. The greens are very good to excellent and will be superb when spring gets here. Fairways are nice. Tee boxes are very good (except the White tee at #7). Bunkers are improving as they update the water/drainage situation. Much has been accomplished and more improvements are happening weekly.

I’ve been playing at Tillery a few times per year since they opened. We went this past weekend, and the greens looked the best I’ve seen them in a number of years. They didn’t roll great, but a good rolling on them would be an easy fix. I was very pleasantly surprised. The fairways were in very nice shape. Some of the bunkers could use some work still. Overall, it’s in the best shape I’ve seen in a long time. I hope it’s still on the way back up and maintained long term.

Updated 10/11/21 Returned to give the restaurant another try. Since our previous visit they have reconfigured the dining area and service has vastly improved. The food was much improved from our first visit. They had a special Buffalo Chicken Egg Roll that we would certainly do again. Cindy, our waitress was very attentive and everything arrived quickly and hot. The house wine left something to be desired. We asked and they do have a $10 corkage fee should you bring your own. Also playing the course the same day the course was in very good shape. I would give the course 4 stars for a daily…

I live in the Pinehurst area, and I must say this course its in tip tip shape. one of the best courses I've played ever. Nice tee boxes, Great greens, and beautiful fairways with nice roughs as well. Definitely a must play course. And the customer service was also excellent. Will be coming back. No cap!

I'll be honest. I don't know how they do it. All of the facilities - clubhouse, grounds, range, etc. - are beautiful. The fairways and greens are perfect. The layout is awesome. Given all the above, our foursome paid $29 each, didn't see anyone else on the course and finished in less than four hours! We drove 35 miles from Pinehurst to play. More people should do this. It's worth a drive.
