In summary

Gator Lakes Golf Course is appreciated for its challenging layout, scenic setting with wildlife, and well-maintained greens, particularly given its location on a military base. The course offers good value and amenities, including a driving range with modern features and a clubhouse with dining options. However, some visitors have noted issues with wet fairways, occasional unfriendly staff interactions, and logistical challenges related to accessing the course.

We golfed at Gator Lakes yesterday. The front nine was not in as good of shape as the back nine. But it was an enjoyable course to play and we pretty much had the whole course to ourselves. It lived up to its name because we saw beautiful gators on three of the holes. The one was right next to the "Don't feed the Gators" sign and I would've thought it was fake until it opened its mouth for a big gator yawn! Like most any golf course, be careful digging in high grass for your ball ... My man saw a pretty big snake. The 9th hole was really cool - the green is adjacent to where the military plane…

Good price and decent layout. Played in November and the greens were in good shape but fairways were not great. Hard to find a decent lie because they were very hard and not plush at all.

Had breakfast there at the Oasis Cafe. I tried something new to me and it was delicious! I had a country fried steak omelet. The steak was inside the omelet! I highly recommend this dish! It also comes with toast, but I did not want any.

Had a great time. The Oasis Cafe made a great sausage burrito to get us started and the course was challenging.

This is an excellent golf course with outstanding customer service and a friendly, helpful staff. The value offered is excellent. I highly recommend visiting this place if you're in the area. The driving range is well-maintained and enjoyable, featuring covered hitting bays with individual range computers. The driving range also provides ample range balls at a reasonable price. Thanks Gator Lakes!!!!

The course is not the most beautiful, but it has lots of good perks. The pro shop guy at the desk is always courteous and respectful. The shop has a nice supply of golf items in case you forget something. Yet.... We went to a fundraiser two weeks ago on Sept 13th and bid on a silent auction basket containing Gator Lakes items. Among many items, there were 4 vouchers (with Gator Lakes emblems on it) for 18 holes of golf each signed by someone who once worked there but no longer does now. (can't read his signature). These vouchers were only good until end of year. There was also a voucher for a…

The course has absolutely morphed over the last few years. Under the current management I've seen the fairways go from not at all fair to excellent. The greens roll extremely well especially given this is a base course. Views are great, and the clubhouse has great food. My only complaint is the pace of play/golf etiquette IQ of the typical player. Overall excellent course

Just played this course for second time. Both times I played was during the week so it was very uncrowded. The greens were a pleasure to play on, they rolled true and smooth not like bumpy, over aerated greens on cheap golf courses. Most of the course is in the woods so wildlife and scenery were awesome. The course is a little long, it also has several tight holes so if your a high handicapper play the appropriate tee box. The only con I have is the course is very flat so fairways have damp spots that will prevent your drives from having good roll outs. If you have on base privileges or get in…

Great place for a quick 9 rounds. The full course is fun with some actual gators along the way. The greens are lacking with some bumpy weeds. The driving range is wonderful with top golf software.

Good golf course, definitely over priced compared to other military courses I've played at.
