Shalimar Pointe Golf and Country Club

Honestly not a bad course! You can tell they’re working to get the course back into better shape. The staff was friendly, the greens were in pretty good condition, and while the fairways and tee boxes still need a little work, everything was definitely playable overall. I’d recommend it for sure add this course to your list if you’re playing other spots in the area as well!

An excellent course at a very reasonable price. All of the staff were very polite and helpful! Don't listen to the snobs in the reviews who think they play on tour. I would recommend playing here.

Shalimar Pointe Golf Course is a true hidden gem in this area and one of the best golfing experiences you can find for the money. This course is one of the best around! The staff all of them are amazing! The head pro John is amazing he will actually talk to people that come to the club house. The membership pricing YOU CANT BEAT! The layout of the course is amazing and the greens!! Are starting to look WAYYYY better.

This is the third course Ive played on vacation and has been the best, came to realize the course under $100 are kinda cheeks compared to my home state course. Definitely the best so far, the staff is nice and respectful, pace of play is normal if you play early, definitely a course I recommend

Cant say enough about how friendly the staff was. Awesome experience overall. Would make the drive every time over paying sandestin course prices. A little muggy today but you can tell the recent renovations went well without even knowing the beforehand. Cant wait to play it again down the road on a better day. Great conditions, interesting and challenging design, friendly staff!

Staff very friendly and accommodating but thought course was not in great shape . Played in February maybe during summer temps course may be better . Price was a little high for what the course condition was.

First off…. I read some recent reviews on here and almost didn’t play here… we ended up going out and I really enjoyed this course. It’s a Pete dye course and has and absolutely beautiful layout and is challenging and a bit tight on some holes. The course itself was in average shape but honestly for the price of 60 bucks in the Destin area it’s a bargain. They did aerate the greens recently and they were really bad and we knew that going in, but this course requires you to hit a multitude of shots…. Draws, lay ups and has a lot of risk reward… I would recommend it if you read this. Just don’t…

The pretty young lady who I had a Texas connection with. Was very pleasant and just started the day out right for us. Always nice to have a smiling cheerful person to get a round started. Got some drinks and the staff over there was just as accommodating. The four stars is only due the slow greens. But that is really the only down side to the course. From tee box to green you had a very nice surface to hit off of...unless you missed the fairway. That was not unfair either just a challenge as it should be.
