In summary

Harborside International Golf Club is praised for its stunning links-style layout, well-maintained greens, and excellent practice facilities, making it a top choice for golfers in the Chicago area. The staff is noted for being friendly and helpful, and the club offers modern amenities such as GPS-equipped carts. However, some visitors have raised concerns about the condition of the cart paths, slow pace of play, and occasional issues with course maintenance and food options.

Got to play the Port course last Saturday, and loved every second of it. Greens were perfectly smooth and quick, tee boxes were immaculate, and the views were stunning. Great spot for both casual and really good golfers. What an unbelievable links style golf course!

Lets GOOOO!!! If you live in Chicago, this is the best public track by far!! Actually best 2 tracks in the area. Harborside has the "The Port" & " The Starboard" both are great. When you live in Chicago you don't have many choices, but Harborside has an amazing practice facility and 2 dope tracks... Also great for an outing.

What an awesome course just off 57 right near Chicago. Easy to get to, awesome and patient staff, and a beautifully maintained course. Fast greens, rewarding fairways, and punishing sand. Definitely worth a round or two on each course.

If you are considering playing here - reconsider. Paid $150 to play this supposed fantastic and pristine course (Starboard side) at 6:30 on 8/16. This course in its current state is worse than many of the municipal courses in the Chicago land area. Avoid at all costs at the current price point. Fairways are bald and gouged out in many areas and many of the greens are full of divots. Tee boxes may as well have been mud with an attempt at grass on top. The cart paths look like they were destroyed by an invading force using land mines - easier to drive on the rough than the actual cart path.…

Beautiful course. Long plays, rolling hills, challenging greens, and great views. We played Starboard and loved it. The carts are upgraded with GPS and helpful course stats. The cart paths remind me of my ATV excursion in the Dominican Republic, but it's not that big of an inconvenience. I honestly had fun dodging all the potholes (breaks up the monotony of 18 holes). Wear sunscreen, there's no tree cover at all. Can't wait to come back and play Port side.

Shot 18 holes on the Port side of the course and had a lovely time. The grounds are very well manicured and the terrain is one of the more interesting I've experienced. Burgers and dogs were pretty good at the halfway hut. Beer prices are pretty reasonable all things considered. It's a good bit pricier than the suburban municipal courses dotting the south side but the grounds were much more interesting. Worth it

This course is absolutely stunning 😍⛳ The layout features long fairways, rolling hills, and greens that really test your skills. We played the Starboard side and had an amazing time from start to finish. The carts are modern and come with GPS plus useful stats, which made the round even more enjoyable 📍📊 The cart paths are a bit bumpy-honestly reminded me of an ATV ride 😂-but it didn’t take away from the experience. If anything, dodging potholes added a bit of fun and broke up the rhythm of the round. Just make sure to bring sunscreen ☀️ because there’s barely any shade out there. Overall, suc…

Having played the Starboard course at Harborside International Golf Center—and both courses consistently over the past two years—I can confidently say this is one of Chicago’s standout golf venues. The Starboard and Port courses each have their own distinct personality, but both offer a challenging and enjoyable links-style experience with a wide-open feel. For experienced players, these courses are fantastic. They demand precision, and you definitely pay for bad shots. If you’re someone who tends to spray the ball left or right, brace yourself for a tough day. Beginners might find the diffic…

Gorgeous course - really so well planned and plays very well. I have noticed a couple things tho. The pace of play here is …. So bad. Groups of 2 become groups of 4 - folks push harder from behind the more groups ahead slow down. The course has too many tight spots on areas where water does not flow best in. Needs attention. No one out there is taking care of divots - sand traps OR the health of the tee box. The folks who come play this course also pick up golf balls on the shared greens leaving the distance of play very much in question and ruins holes for score cards. This course is no…

This was a last minute 4th of July treat for my son and husband. My son really enjoyed it, especially after landing a 75 on his scorecard on Starboard. He played Port on a very challenging windy day , and thought it was better course than Starboard. There was virtually no wind this day which made it less difficult . The staff at the pro shop were friendly and helpful. Also, I can always appreciate a junior rate and they also honor Youth On Course rates on certain days/times which is a great thing for junior golfers. I did not give a 5 star due to the beat up car paths with some areas a little…

This course is absolutely great! If your in the suburbs it is worth the drive to check out this beauty! Links style 36 holes of greatness. Excellent course layout and course conditions. Everything was so great about this place I would consider going back to try the other course on the property!

I felt like I was transported to another time and place. I can happily check this off my bucket list. What an amazing course! The staff was really incredible. I didn't expect that level of service.
