In summary

Olmos Basin Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained fairways and greens, friendly and professional staff, and overall enjoyable layout that offers a fun and challenging experience. Many golfers appreciate the course's condition despite occasional maintenance on the greens and some slow pace of play due to tournaments. However, a few visitors have noted issues with cart paths and amenities, such as the lack of powered USB ports in carts and the need for improvements in the clubhouse facilities.

The course was in great shape and the greens were in good shape. A little slower than other Alamo Trail courses but not bad. Very good trip today with good pace of play and a pretty challenging course. Happy I got to play it again. If ai had a complaint, it would be the cart we had the steering was ridiculous. The course itself was in good shape and the greens were greens.

Been playing Olmos since it opened its doors. It's always been a fun and challenging golf course. Good part of playing Olmos is if you are hitting the ball and putting well you can get yourself a really nice score. Real boost to your ego. Overall the course was in great shape. Tee boxes had grass and the fairways were nice with the ball sitting up nicely on them. The rough was fair and the areas around the greens were well maintained. The greens had a light dusting of sand and I wished they were a little faster. Otherwise it was a great golf day with some old friends.

Played 18 today and the course was in great shape, overall. Nothing to complain about, really. Greens looks fantastic but we actually quite slow. Made for a challenging round as most other course have been quite fast in the greens. But the undulations added to the pressure. Was slow through 11 due to a tournament, but from 12 on, we flew. Good day overall!

Golf courses in great shape pretty clean. I frowned upon cart path only but was told after 12:00 today that we could use the carts on the Fairway, but every time we tried we had to back up and return where we entered.

First time here. It won’t be my last. Everyone in our group had a blast playing this course. If you’re looking for a pristine course, go to Augusta. We all thought this course was well maintained especially for South Texas. I will be booking another tee time soon.

Great time today at Olmos Dec 2025. Course in good shape good to see the course is holding up. Keep it up Olmos, like coming out there.

The course was enjoyable, and we had a great time playing there. The staff were excellent—very friendly and helpful. The greens, however, weren’t in the best shape due to maintenance, which made it difficult for me to judge the speed. Overall, though, it’s an excellent course for beginners like me, with wide fairways and a few shorter par 4 holes. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Really nice course. Arguably the best one of the Alamo Golf Trail I've played

All Alamo City Golf Trail course employees always interact with golfers courteously and professionally. I do have one concern and one recommendation. Concern is paying $38 cart fee and none of the carts have powered USB ports. I inquired about this over 6 months ago and was told the cart provider was going to go to every course to activate the USB ports. That has not happened. Recommendation is to allow Trail Pass members to view online the number of remaining prepaid rounds.

Had a great round at Olmos Basin GC today!!! Pace of play was 4hrs 5min. From checkin to finish was smooth sailing, so well run!! The course was in great shape, well groomed and the greens played smooth in spite of some not looking perfect, loved them. Thanks Olmos!

The marshals need to keep the pace of play better. If there are really slow players they need to have them skip holes to accommodate the players behind them. Over five hours for a round is not enjoyable.

The new course is fantastic! Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens are all in great shape. The greens have alot of cool elevation changes to work with which was fun. The course is not terribly difficult and fun to play. The staff was really on top of pace-of-play and I hope that continues. Slightly disappointed that not much was done to improve the clubhouse. Need to invest in a an actual water dispenser and ice machine rather than a scoop-it-yourself cooler of ice and a middle school-type water fountain in the other building. Will play again.
