Patriots Point Golf Links is praised for its stunning views of Charleston Harbor and its scenic setting, making it a popular choice for weddings and golf outings alike. Many visitors commend the friendly and professional staff, as well as the course's improved conditions and affordable pricing. However, some criticisms include inconsistent maintenance of fairways and cart paths, with a few noting that certain areas could benefit from further improvement.

We had an amazing experience hosting our wedding at Patriots Point Golf Course. One of the biggest perks was the free round of golf for the bride and groom, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch. Their pricing was very comparable to other venues in the area, and honestly, the view does most of the work for you. It is absolutely stunning and made our day feel so special and memorable. We chose an off-season date to help keep costs lower, which definitely helped overall. However, the tent walls and heaters ended up being an unexpected $4,000 increase, so I would recommend future couples be…

DO NOT PLAY HERE! Spend the extra money and go play Wild Dunes instead. This course is a giant flat Bermuda cow pasture. The greens and fairways were in terrible shape. The starter tried to teach us how to play golf. The front nine boarders Charleston college athletic fields, so you better hope they don't have a game. The cart paths can only be considered a path by third world standards. The whole course was in abhorrent condition. Stay away.

We had our wedding at Patriot’s Point and it was so beautiful and everything we could have dreamed of! The venue is so gorgeous on the golf course on the water. The ceremony and reception space was amazing and tables and chairs for both were included which was really nice. Also my family enjoyed playing the golf course that weekend as well!

course was in much better shape than advertised. a lot better condition than some of the bad reviews/pictures from a few months ago. overall a real enjoyable round at an affordable price. course is mostly wide open with some water here and there. and then a real difficult finishing 3 holes on the water. exceeded my expectations by a lot, and a great option for public golf in Charleston for people visiting from out of town.

You know it was very nice. We have had a lot of rain and I thought they really did well with the course. All things considered, the greens were fantastic. They weren't slow but they weren't fast. They were just nice. The fairways were nice. The rough wasn't that thick other than little spots were it was just too muddy for them to get the mowers in. But overall man this thing was super nice. Not a lot of trees. Not a lot of shade and if you hit it left or right you still got a shot. I shot my best round on this course. I didn't think it was overpriced. I found it to be about right. I would love…

Read all the Reviews wasn’t sure to expect but. We gave it a try as we wanted to play coastal golf course without being charged $300 and we were pleasantly surprised based on what we read. Don’t believe those haters. The staff Is great and golf course Is in great condition. Said they were flattening their fairways, which is nice to see some more improvements. Looking forward to coming back.

Great property and decent course architecture. I just wish they didn’t SOMETHING on the upkeep. Fairways, cart paths and bunkers were wildly inconsistent and lumpy. Iconic setting and finishing holes.

The only thing this course has going for it are the views and locations. The fairways are horribly mounded, cart paths are rocky and unstable. Course is the bad side of public golf in people not taking care of it and driving on the greens. Much better options for the price. I recommend the Muni, Stono Ferry, or Dunes West.

Fun links course, great views of the Charleston Mount pleasant harbor as well as Arthur ravenel bridge in the backdrop. Gusty conditions are certainly expected. when we played the greens were lightning fast partially because they were barren of grass. otherwise would have given this a higher rating. not to mention it has gone up in price over the years.

Played here today and the course was in really fantastic shape. I read some of the other reviews of the damaged greens and can confirm that they are fully recovered and rolling great (1/12/26). All the staff I interacted with were super friendly and professional. I had a really nice round and will definitely play here again.

While visiting family in the area I had the pleasure of playing this course. It didn’t disappoint! Beautiful location, welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff, easy to check in, and a well kept links style course with great fairways, fast greens, powder soft bunkers (only 2xs), a very good pace of play and a great place to have a cold one . I already told my son I would love to play this course when I come back next year!
