In summary

River Lakes Golf Course is frequently praised for its affordability, friendly staff, and accommodating atmosphere, making it a popular choice for beginners and families. The course's straightforward layout and decent condition, especially given the price, are appreciated, though some mention that the tee boxes and fairways could use improvement. A few visitors have reported negative experiences with the owners and noted issues with course maintenance and pace of play due to the lack of tee times.

Great course for the price. Course is in excellent shape this year with all the rain we have had. The owners are normally there working the shop and very accommodating. They have no problem with me bringing my son to play. Have even drove a golf cart out before to tell us we can play a few extra holes if we want. Awesome people.

Great place to play. One of my go to courses when I'm working on my game. Owners are nice. The price is nice. Tee boxes could use some leveling and some love. Fairways are in decent shape, greens are in decent shape. I've never had a bad experience at this course. If you're new to the game, learning, working out issues with your game, or just want an enjoyable round without too many obstacles, this is the place to play.

It’s a pretty straightforward course. I took my grandson. It’s almost completely flat. Only did nine holes as I pay for both of us. No T times. Just show and go. There were a lot of teen agers or early 20’s on the course. That was good to see

Had a GREAT experience. You absolutely cannot beat the price. The fairways are a touch narrow but straight and uncomplicated. Very friendly staff. I'm definitely coming back.

Play here all the time. Cheap and not as busy later in the day. Great sunsets

Absolutely fantastic! Been golfing for only a year and still have plenty of learning to do but this is the place to do it. $30 for 18 and a cart! That’s insane! Especially if you’re new to golf and just need to get out and play. The owners have always been pleasant and answer any questions you might have. The course itself isn’t as bad as you would think only paying $30. Tee boxes are a little beat up butttt you’re hitting off of a tee so does it really matter? The fairways are always cut and decently kept. The greens have some wear and tear but a lot of it comes from other AHoles not fixing t…

Great prices and family owned. No tee times required, come and play 9 or 18 anytime. Challenging holes but always fun!!

If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. The owners are tyrant's and verbally attacked us. They insulted me (my weight and height) and my son with snide remarks and insults. The course is below average at best and they have now raised their prices as if it worth playing on. This course is so sub par when it comes to maintenance it’s ridiculous. They don’t care about the conditions. Tee boxes are littered with broken tees and empty beer cans and shot bottles. Worst course I ever played on. The only saving grace was the price prior to the increase. They told me they raised the prices a…

Very affordable. Course itself is in decent shape, not a very tough one. Very straight. No sand traps, and only a couple water hazards. Small snack bar located where you pay your golf fee. 5 bucks for all you can hit at the driving range is really unbeatable. Greens weren't the most forgiving but made for a nice short game challenge after fairly easy drives. Well worth it if you want to play 18 for 20 bucks!

The course itself is in rough shape. The tee boxes and fairways are beat up pretty badly and the greens are either super slick or have no roll to them whatsoever. The course itself is fairly flat which is common for the area that it's in. The price to play is a bit high. Fair warning as I honestly haven't experienced this anywhere else, but if you're paying with a card, they will charge you more so make sure to bring cash. The yardage markers on the scorecard are not accurate across the course so check your yardage as mentioned in previous review and do not go strictly off that. My second bigg…
