What People Say

In summary

Santa Clara Golf & Tennis Club is praised for its well-maintained, affordable, and challenging 18-hole course with a convenient location near Levi Stadium. Many appreciate the friendly staff and the availability of practice facilities, including a full range, putting, and chipping greens. However, some visitors express concerns about slow pace of play, course maintenance issues, particularly with the greens and bunkers, and occasional confusion with parking and tee time management.

Solid public course with good hole variation. Some of the greens were in rough shape and if you have never played here, you’ll be hitting a decent amount of blind shots. Would definitely recommend playing with someone who knows the course or use some type of app that has GPS/course layout. All in all, good value and some nice views.

The Golf Course is right across from Levi stadium, so when there’s game, better stay away, but other than that, it’s a great, inexpensive, well kept golf course. On weekdays with GolfNow or Golfzing you can get a great deal $29 including cart. It does have a full range for practice, putting and chipping green. There is a Marshall driving around in case of some slow pace people exist. There are quite a few fast players jumping around cutting holes sometimes. The parking is quite confusing sometime, we don’t really know if the parking lot up front is for the stadium or the golf course. Anyhow, i…

I went to Summitpoint golf cub yesterday and I feel like I am in the LPGA class golf club. All brand new cart and well managed green and fields were good. The best was very kind and thoughtful staff their. They guided new comers well and care each play group. Club restaurant was great food at very nice price ranges. We are thinking to sign up to some lessons there.

Had a great experience playing this course yesterday (Monday). Staff was very friendly and accommodating, price was right (booked last minute through GolfNow), and the course was very well kept. We arrived for a 2:52pm tee time but wanted to hit the range for a bit beforehand. Asked the guy at the pro shop if this was a problem, his response was "not at all, head to the tee when you're ready. Course was great for me (beginner) but added some good challenges as well. Great views of the SJ hills and new 49ers stadium under construction. Restaurant had a great happy hour (2 beers and 2 apps for $…

Yes, it's often a busy course. Yes, it is often windy in the afternoons - hello, it is on the bay. Slow play can be an issue. On the good side, it definitely has some challenging holes, decent greens for the traffic and price , a great location if you work in SC. I think they do a good job of managing in a horrible drought - get used to it California. Can't say I love the course but I'm glad its there. I go to the range 2x week and usually play the course 1x week.

I like the course layout, the greens are in good shape. Fun place to play esp. When players are considerate and keep pace. But many uninformed players use it apparently since they don't know or care to fix ball marks! I don't get it. Take care of the course and it will be better when you use it next time!

Love this Golf Course. Some of the green didn't recover well from the aeration this year, but the ones that did roll great. If you know how to play there are some great risk-reward holes where you can cut corners, and misses aren't too severely penalized in most places. Fix the greens and I'll rate it 5 stars.

Tried to play here for a Friday twilight, terrible decision. Lets be realistic, tee times spaced 7 minutes apart just aren't feasible, especially on this course that backs up right off the first tee and is full of extremely slow players that seem to go unnoticed by the marshals. We hit our first shots over 20 minutes after our scheduled tee time and there were 1-2 groups waiting on every single tee box. We gave in after playing 12 holes (already 3.5hrs at that point) when we got to the 13 and there were now 3 groups waiting on the tee box. It is however a decent range, just keep note of the co…

Had a pretty good time playing the back nine on this course. We had an early morning tee time, got started on time, and had a pretty peaceful and quiet game. The course was fairly well kept, and the staff were very friendly. I'll be returning many times in the future I'm sure.

Course condition is terrible, small rocks all over in the bunker, destroyed green with mud cover and fairways are overflowed with water. More importantly they charge cart key fee? Played dozens of golf course, none of them does that. Not even Pebble Beach! Definitely not recommended and won’t coming back.

The course is pretty accessible but also has some challenging holes. You can sometimes get a nice rate (residents of SC do) and it makes for a nice days golf. However, play in the mornings is a little militant - lots of grumpy retirees getting their morning round in. Pro-shop could be more friendly.
