In summary

The Foothills Golf Club is praised for its scenic views, well-maintained course layout, and accommodating staff, making it a favored choice for both golf and events. The course offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience with good amenities, including a practice facility and a welcoming atmosphere. However, some visitors have noted issues with the firmness and condition of the greens, as well as occasional slow pace of play and communication lapses during tournaments.

I live pretty close to here and decided to just check out the Sunset Grill to grab a bacon cheeseburger. The burger just had some patties, cheese and some bacon. It was very average and did not have any tomatoes, onions or lettuce on it. The fries were fine. So for food the grill gets a 3/5 ; The service was very good. The cashier / waitress Ellie was very friendly and did a good job taking care of my table, so I would give service a 4/5. Ambiance.... The grill has a nice patio when the weather is nice and it looks very well manicured so would warrant a 5/5. Pricing for a burger and coke was a…

I played Foothills GC for the first time yesterday. Overall, this a really nice Weiskopf design. Think it fell into disrepair for a while, but they are making a nice effort to reel it back in. I REALLY liked the layout. Fairly generous off the tees. It plays through a housing development, and there are homes reachable for severely offline shots. Tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. Rough is moderately deep, but not punitive. Water in play on four holes, but its lateral — no water carries required. Par 3’s are all longish from Blue tees — 170-210 yds. One reachable par 4 for longer hitters…

Pace of play was terrible. 5+ hour round. Really bad group in front and Marshalls weren't there to move the group in front on... Even the cart woman could see the problem... The course itself is nice, but the greens are still hard since replanting.

This is my first time playing this course, and it was in good condition. The fairways had thick smooth grass, but the greens were not too level as there were many aged unrepaired divots and undulations. Evidently, it had once fallen in disrepair, and Troon took it over. The course is somewhat challenging. It's not too narrow, and not too many bunkers. The practice facility near the first hole is included.

Had a beautiful wedding reception. The terrace provided a beautiful backdrop with the sun setting. There was enough space for a dance floor, buffet, game room in the basement and patio and bar for cocktails. Staff was accommodating and we had a great experience. Fred’s flowers made the space magical.

First time playing here, and I really enjoyed it. The course itself is long but scoreable. If you are accurate with your driver/tee shot, you can play well here. Absolutely loved the scenery on and around the course. Only con (a big one) was the greens. Awful condition. They really should have made people aware beforehand - don't expect much to any grass right now until the remodel happens from what I was told. Will definitely give another shot after the remodel to see how it all turns out! Overall, good track with good views and holes!

I played this course for the first time a few weeks ago and I have played it 3 times now. It is an awesome course! I give it 5 stars because the course conditions are the main thing I care about. My only gripe with the place is that the 1st and 18th holes are cart path only. Also, the most recent time I played there, it rained some (not lots) overnight and the whole course was cart path only during our round. I thought a 90° rule would have been sufficient because the course wasn’t that wet. Go play the course though! You won’t regret it.

Overall, the course has vastly improved. Played last Saturday (Nov 22, 25). Greens were a bit on the slow side and some of them were firm for short irons in. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape and the rough was thick and challenging. Overall, the layout was good. My only complaint about the course, are the bunkers. They need to do a better job of getting big rocks and stones out of them. Hole 7, found rocks that were pretty big in the bunkers. Not sure what it would take to just filter out the sand of these large stones/rocks/pebbles. Bad sand across the course. Service was great, as al…

Excellent location for lunch, meetings, parties, and golf. You can host milestone birthdays and anniversaries and the view is amazing. The food here is exceptional since Troon Golf took over. The 3 street tacos, the Greek salad with hummus, and the burger are my FAVORITE. The staff is amazing and they love their job—- which is important to me when taking clients somewhere. And I love all the remodeling and updates they have been making !

Went here on May 3rd for the first time and had one of the worst experiences. It would’ve been nice to know they had a tournament scheduled to start at 1:50pm, before letting us book a 1:45pm tee time. We were rudely confronted by a person affiliated with this tournament, who wanted us to skip ahead or play faster because they were “moving fast.” This guy came up to our tee box during my backswing yelling “not cool” and went as far as pointing his finger as close to our faces as possible. We skipped holes 4 and 5. I wish I’d gotten the chance to enjoy a COMPLETE round of golf with my buddies.…

Had a fantastic experience here!! On vacation and wanted to play a quick Monday morning 18 holes but not spend a fortune. This course knocked it out of the park for about $50!! Everything start to finish was great. Parking lot guy was cool and helpful. Pro shop kid was super nice and accommodating. Starter was friendly funny and efficient. Course itself was wonderful! Scenic views, fun mix of holes, excellent greens and overall condition. Not perfect/country club immaculate but didn’t expect that. Played in under 4 hours. Black/gold tees are perfect length. Fun bar/grill/snack shop. Highly rec…
