In summary

The V.A. Golf Course is appreciated for its affordability and welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for beginners and those seeking a casual round. Many enjoy the course's layout and the opportunity for exercise, as it is a walking-only course with no motorized carts available. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance and occasional slow play, and there are concerns about safety due to the lack of protective fencing.

Fun little course. If you do fit bit you will get a good chunk of your steps even doing 9 holes. Great price range also.

The course is better than good. It is so cheap to play that it rates better than good. But it is what it is.... a "Veterans" funded golf course. Open to the public. When I played last the fair ways had been freshly cut. The grass had filled the greens. Sand traps looked great. But it also has its draw backs. Being a cheap rate for the 9 hole course allows people who do not know the rules of golf or the course rules. I had to stop a young player from pulling his pull cart onto the green. Stated he did not know he couldn't. So you "experienced" golfers playing there help keep it looking good. Th…

Very reasonable prices, the friends I have made playing there. I started playing there 12 years ago when I retired. The guys accepted me into their golf group completely.I think some of them may have cried when I would get on their team in the scramble because I was a HORRIBLE golfer. Haha, but they kept giving me lessons and now I play pretty well and am welcome on their team, This golf course is a treasure for friendships and fathers teaching their kids. It will truly be missed.

Love this place. Good place to go play nine holes. If you’re new to golf and looking to get better at you’re driving it’s a good course to play because there’s a lot of open space so you don’t have to worry about losing every ball you bought in the woods. Good course to build confidence. If you’re hitting the ball well you can put up some pretty good scores.

I have paid $5 for driving ranges I don't know how many times. The VA course is the perfect place to hone your golf skills. NO, it will not be the best lies or pristine putting greens but, to be able to practice all stages of your game I have yet to find a better place in Mid-TN (especially for $8).

I really enjoyed myself. I walked the course. You can bring your own cart, they don't have carts that are for rent. I didn't do very good but I'm just a beginner. The course had some bad spots in the fairway. All in all I believe it is a great course for 8 dollars It is open to the public not just for veterans or military. It's a 9 hole course and they have multiple water jugs and cups along the way so you don't go thirsty if you didn't bring your own water. There is no alcohol allowed on the course!

Terrible conditions but it's the cheapest golf you will ever find at $8. Push cart rentals available but if you want a riding cart you must bring your own and there is no cart path. Great for getting in shape or beginners.

My dad took me golfing here and i had fun. The walk was a good distance, but walking is good for the body. You dont have to carry your own bag or bring a stroller type carrier, they provide you with one. The price is pretty cheap and the experience is worth it.

great little course to relax and enjoy . It just needs to be left alone doesn't need to have parking lot paved . Other golf courses are not and will not be the same but a lot of people will like that but a lot of us won't .It's a shame

Went with a friend who is learning knowing we were going to play slow. The man working the clubhouse came to us on the second tee and harassed us to go instead of letting the faster paced people behind us to play through. After the first confrontation he came back up to us telling us to hit into the people ahead because there were people waiting to play. Those people were nowhere to be found. Don’t plan on going back here unless gas hits $20 and I can’t afford Go USA putt putt.

Great for the price I am a senior so I get senior rate and my exercise. No complaints from me about since I am a beginner. Want to go at leadership once a week:
