Course is in decent condition. Greens are hard but roll ok. They just aerated the fairways and put the droppings along the rough. Pretty long course btw. Only issue is i like a decent pace of play. Problem is had we had a slow group ahead of us. The Marshall said they will allow us to play thru. So we asked after we waited every shot for the next 3 holes and they said they'd pick up the pace. They did not. 4 hrs and 40 minutes later we finished our round. On a Thursday. Ugh.

Course is like a 7/10. Big problem was there was a quote on quote tournament which was just 5 tee times with 6 people on them. My tee time was at 12:30 and I only finished 15 holes bc it got too dark. No rain check or anything. Definitely won’t be back.

The course itself was fun and a nice challenging layout with well kept greens. The staff was not even the slightest bit friendly on a Wednesday afternoon. The smell from the Hinton landfill (right next door) was almost bearable most of the time. Plenty of other courses in the area so we won’t be back to this one.

Greens were amazing. Course super solid condition. Just wish it wasn't so far from Dallas lol. Definitely play here if you want a challenge

Decided to be brutally honest, hopefully taken as such. First, the course is owned by the city of Rowlett but managed by American Golf Corporation. The latter, for those who have been around for a while, seem to have a history of destroying golf clubs/courses. We used to consider Waterview our home course when it opened - absolutely spectacular bent grass greens, fairways and rest of the course was immaculate. It got really hard to book times, and it was packed with tournaments. Until .. it completely fell apart and wasn’t worth the short drive from nearby Rockwall and Wylie. Greens overtaken…

Went on a Wednesday afternoon. Pace of play was the worst thing I’ve ever experienced, even on a full course there should never be 4 groups on a tee box. Over priced for the experience, not great conditions. Staff was at least friendly

Greens are always in top tier condition. They always keep the course in great shape. Practice greens are no different. Great place to practice your short game. Many of you guys need it more than others

Golf course is in pretty good shape. The course has no management to keep play going.the only time we ever saw a Marshall was hole number 1 who was the starter. We teed off at 1:00 pm and after the first hole it was a disaster.the 2 foursomes in front of us backed the entire course up.they would not let us play through. We only got to play 12 holes because it got dark.1:00 to 5:45 for 12 holes. We told the pro shop worker what happened and asked for a rain check and he told to ask the general manager.he was very rude and said well it’s a nice day and everyone wants to play..we told him he’s put…

Without a doubt, Waterview greens are the best in the DFW area. They are rolling true and fast !!! Thanks to Shawn and the crew for doing a fantastic job!!! Highly recommend.

If the course isn’t ready to be played don’t open it. Paid 72$ today, majority of holes had standing water in play, multiple huge ‘ponds’ from recent rain on so many holes, so it was cart part only (expected) but not a drop of water on the course to drink. Definitely not worth the money and the mosquitos they are breeding in the standing water won’t be enjoyable. Done here for a while.

It hasn’t rained in over a week yet there is standing water in a lot of areas. Some of the tees are wet, muddy and sloshy along with most areas around the greens. The greens are nice and rolling pure but expect a 5 hour round.

Decent course for the most part. About 85% of it is in good shape. Low rating for the predatory pricing. They surge up and down like Uber and despite the website advertising a 40 dollar tee time when we called and when we were standing in the shop paying, they charged 53 each. When asked to honor the site rate they declined. Classless!
