In summary

Burning Ridge Golf Club receives praise for its friendly and helpful staff, well-maintained greens, and enjoyable course layout, which many find challenging yet accessible. However, some visitors express concerns about the condition of the fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers, especially after rain, and note that the pace of play can be slow at times. Despite these issues, many golfers appreciate the overall experience and value, with some looking forward to improvements in course conditions.

Realistically I want to give the a 4-star review, but I’m trying to offset some of these insane 1-star reviews. I was visiting from Boston and played this course on July 10th, first cart out. The course was pretty empty at that time and I finished my round in about 3 hours. My thoughts: - Contrary to the reviews on here, there’s grass on the fairways! Two holes were patchy but the rest were fine. - Bunkers do need work/drainage as there was standing water after the rain. - Challenging course to get GIR as the greens are very small (but very nice) - For the price, I would absolutely play agai…

Unfortunately I played here with my group 😕. This is a big locals course by the groups going out and the staff is very friendly. But the tee boxes and Fairways are in terrible condition.. not one fairway here has living grass.. I hope they can get the course in better condition soon...

Great course, amazing staff at the grill, pro shop (from Albany,NY) and cart crew! We had a great round and look forward to our next trip!

Walked in and booked a tee time on the same day. The staff in the pro shop were extremely helpful and answered all my questions. I also rented a set of Taylormade Stealth 2s (driver to wedges) for $40. Rentals came with 2 sleeves of Taylormade balls too. Had such a great time on the course which was well maintained and not particularly difficult. I highly recommend this course if you’re visiting Myrtle Beach and wanna get a round or two in.

Burning Ridge Golf Club is awesome. Tee to green a well maintained course. Nice green plush tee boxes and green areas around the green. The greens are in immaculate condition.

very nice course. since it was so cold for our start, we had the course to ourselves and the pace of play was superb. course was in excellent shape and the greens were well maintained. not too difficult but challenging enough. replay was super reasonable, so we played and extra 9 holes after playing 18 in the morning. just wish it was warmer, but obviously not the course's doing. Recommend and look forward to coming back.

My first time playing here the greeting up on arriving was very nice and all the staff was very pleasant and thanked us for playing their course, A Very nice layout, some greens a little small but challenging, highly recommend playing this course .

Awesome coarse friendly from the club house to the starters, they load your cart and get you all set up, the coarse itself was well maintained from the fairways to the greens. A great place for a full eighteen in. I felt out of the seven days of golfing in Myrtle Beach that Burning Ridge was one of our group of 4’s favourite courses.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always beautiful whenever I have had the chance to be out there! A shame that people give you poor ratings because they don't understand that non-stop rain = wet playing conditions! Staff has always been knowledgeable enough of course conditions to warn people and they still ignore the warning!

The course was a swamp and unplayable. Should have been closed. They could not cut greens, fairways and tee boxes were all a mess. To there credit we did get rain checks and looking forward for hopefully a dry day next time. I do like the course.

I played Burning Ridge on 5/8/25. The course layout is really nice. The cart paths are great. The greens are average. The tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers are in poor shape. I don't understand why The Founders Group let's this happen. I am finally going to quit playing this course. It is a shame because the course layout is a lot of fun and a challenge.
