In summary

The General James Hackler Golf Course is often praised for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and enjoyable layout featuring numerous doglegs. Visitors appreciate the course's amenities, including GPS-equipped carts and affordable concessions. However, some guests have noted issues with fairway conditions, particularly unfilled divots, and occasional staff unfriendliness. Additionally, the course can suffer from poor drainage after heavy rain, affecting playability.

Played yesterday, course should have been closed due to so much rain . Horrible conditions because of . Staff should have mentioned how bad conditions were and that all holes were cart on Path Only ! No discount given and was not told , decision to play should have been mine if told . On normal condition I love the course. Today it was under Water.

Nice track and discounts for seniors, veterans, and first responders. Lots of doglegs, nice consistent greens runnin at 9, and wide fairways. They’re doing some work on tee boxes, but dosent interfere with play. Nicest carts I’ve seen on the Grand Strand and cheapest concession/beverage cart prices. Has driving range, putting, and chipping greens. Would highly recommend for mid to high handicaps.

For early season course was in good shape and very playable. Lots of doglegs. A few tee boxes were rough. Good value for the money relative to some of the big names in the area. Check it out for yourself.

Lovely course in great condition, very helpful and friendly staff in the clubhouse. Easy to hire clubs and enjoy the course. We were over from the UK and thought the scorecards and course information in the carts were brilliant! Highly recommend for a great round of golf!

Well maintained, fun to play, the people are all very nice, cart paths are brand new we had a very good experience. Food is great in the grill, and the staff is very friendly. Especially Katie who is a Navy veteran and recent graduate of CCU. A couple of opportunities for improvements: -After so many years of filling divots most of the tees are not flat, but are crowned. - I'm sure it's in the planning somewhere, because their carts are all electric, now the parking lot needs to have electric charging stations. - The GPS system in the golf carts malfunctioned at least twice while we were…

I made a trip down yesterday for my daughter to take a test for her CNA test. I had a little extra time so I needed something to do. I was talking to the outside staff and decided to walk in the Pro Shop to look around. After receiving a text about it was going to take a little longer for the test I decided to play a round. After playing the course I was impressed with the course and the staff. Staff was very polite and helpful for getting me on for a round!!! I will be back to play again!!!

Golf course was in beautiful shape. Very well maintained. GPS screens in cart and entire course is GPS. Get to close to greens, screen will show entering restricted area, and will shut you down. This is how they keep the course in great shape. Only complaint is, you go from fairway to and extremely deep thick rough. You must be accurate with your tee shots, but that’s golf. Will definitely want to play here again!! Pro shop staff was ok friendly. The college fella getting carts and clubs for you was very nice, friendly, and very welcoming. Greeting you as you walked up to store your bags. Wish…

Fairly wide open with a lot of dog legs. Course is in decent shape except the greens which had a lot of the large black spots. Winter kill maybe.

Played here recently and the course was in great shape the greens were really nice and the ball rolled true. Love that they take part in the program that allows junior golfers to play free.

When ur course is under water, and ur still charging$42 that's stealing from ur customers.I know you have a payroll but letting people play under these circumstances is costing u more money and abuse to the course.the greens were great and it's clean course, but paying full price and submerged fairways and traps and excessive walkers,I won't be back.
