The Wizard Golf Club

I played here yesterday and the fairways were the best I've hit off of this year. The greens were really fast. You just had to touch the ball and it rolled 20 feet.

The staff here deserves a shout out. I arrived a few minutes late for my tee time but the guys got me and my rider out super easily. Meanwhile, some guys came into the shop looking to cancel a tee time and get a discount. The guys at the counter were total pros. I really enjoyed playing this course. I new the finishing holes were gonna be great, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the opening 14 or so that I think that even without the island holes this course could hold its own.

This course deserves a better rating! Played yesterday and had the best time. It’s a fun course, everyone was friendly and nice. Laid back. Very well maintained.

We played here yesterday ( April 26) This course layout is sweet. The greens were a bit slow but got a little faster on some. ! Definitely a beautiful course. Definitely will be coming back to beat my score of a 78. Such a fun course. #18 at sunset is a great way to end a group of 8 golf trip.

I really really want to give this place 5 stars. The people there were super friendly to me. Found a way to get me on the course as a single without being behind a bunch of groups. After my round I realized I forgot my speaker in the cart they found it and saved it so I could pick it up. Honest people like that are hard to find now. But on to the actual course. It's very forgiving and open. The greens were in amazing shape and rolled true. However, almost every fairway was swampy. All the bunkers were FULL of water. This course was a blast to play! They have a great and friendly staff, greens, carts, etc. well maintained. Club house is freaking awesome looking inside and out. They have their own driving range/practice area separate from Man o War and they’re 5 min from my house so they get five stars. Keep up the great work!

Well, let me say this was my first visit to the Wizard Golf Links and I was looking forward to playing it. First impression was not so great. My foursome pulled up to drop our clubs off and a grumpy man came to take the clubs out of the cars.. Did not even say hello..... not one word and left as fast as he came to get the bags. Didn't even stick around for a tip. We then went inside to check in and eat a quick lunch before our round. Staff was pretty friendly inside overall. I played The Wizard several times during some of my many Myrtle Beach vacations over the years and I really liked playing there. The course was in good condition and always fun to play.

Course was in great shape despite hot temps. Greens were in good shape even after recent aeration. My only complaint is pace of play. Even after mentioning to the ranger that I was a solo and having to wait on the foursome ( 2 women 2 men all elderly) in front of me on ever shot, I was never given the option by the ranger or the group to play through. Took a little over 5 hours to play 18 as a solo.

Great golf course with an excellent layout. Very scenic. Course is par 71 with 6,100 yards from the white tees and plays very forgiving. Greens are always in immaculate shape. Add this one to your list of courses to play in Myrtle beach.

Wonderful round of golf today at The Wizard Golf Links in Myrtle Beach - it’s June, we had an early tee time and it was a great value! We got lunch 2 sandwiches and 2 beers/drinks each. Cafe server was professional and nice too Great group we played with and nice pro shop with fun $1 balls too with a cool architecture design - would love to see more womens golf clothes choices in these pro shops but that’s everywhere on the strand Loved the water challenges and grounds were good and manicured in good shape - will definitely play again - as a woman golfer I really enjoyed this course

On October 11th, my threesome was scheduled to play The Wizzard Golf course. Due to the 6 plus inches of rain the course informed me that the course would be closed to play and offered rain checks. I have contacted the pro shop on three separate occasions requesting they mail the rain checks, which they said they would forward my request to their offices. A month has passed with NO rain checks received. The pro shop informs me that it has been forwarded to their offices, however I have not received any response, either by phone, email or via U.S.mail.
