Oakwood Country Club

Very Nice Country Club in the heart of Lynchburg Virginia. Awesome location for a wedding or event. Was there for a rehearsal dinner & a wedding the following day. Beautiful inside the country club, and outside. Food / Catering was 5-star. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We joined so my children can have somewhere to go and swim that was close to us. The pool was nice, always clean but there were some older women that yelled at my son for accidentally splashing water on them, told him he doesn’t belong there. The manager I spoke to was nice and did apologize but I am stuck paying for a year to somewhere my kids are scared to go to. We only really were going for the pool anyway. It would be nice if we had next summer free or not have to pay the remainder of the year contract!

Beautiful location! Everything about this place is stunning! The parking was a bit difficult but other than that no complaints and I would definitely recommend this venue to others.

We've loved swimming here this summer. Amazing staff, refreshing pool and delicious food. Mimosa's poolside- a nice way to spend the morning.

Had my wedding here 11-09-19 and they were phenomenal!! They were accommodating, and extremely helpful! Elyssa their coordinator was amazing. She answered any questions I had, and even offered suggestions or solutions to the usual wedding mishaps. Her team was so helpful as well!! I honestly cannot say a single bad thing about any of them or the Country Club. We had the whole upstairs and it was perfect. They assisted with the set up, and they made my vision come alive. My husband and I are not members but came to Oakwood to support a friend in the ladies tennis league. We were pleasantly surprised we were welcomed with open arms. ALL staff were incredibly polite and helpful. We ate at their outside tables while watching the tennis matches. The food was very good. The operating owner even came over twice to chat with us. My sister had her wedding here and they were amazing! It was gorgeous and fit her perfectly! They helped us with everything and we honestly had the best time collaborating everything with them. I would highly recommend for hosting any important event, lovely people and a beautiful setting!!

Food is delicious. Staff not especially friendly. Billing and accounting is frustratingly inaccurate. Nearly every month there was an extra or inaccurate charge on my bill. I resigned my membership three months ago and they are still sending me bills. Ridiculous.

My kid played USTA match here . They have plenty of tennis courts . It is a well maintained club and more than 100 years old club ,,,

My family and I were invited to lunch by a friend who is a country club member. They must have been busy. It took one hour to have our order taken and to get our food. The food was great once we got it..

This is a beautiful place. There is a huge pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, awesome private party areas, and an excellent dining area and bar. Management and staff are very friendly and helpful.
